Chemical Free and Sure to Please DIY Shampoo

DIY Shampoo

This non toxic all natural 4 ingredients shampoo is great!  My hair is so soft and shiny after using it for over 3 months.  WARNING!!  Please read my note below.  This takes a while to get used to and to get all the yucky chemicals out of your hair and you may experience a brief time of not so happy hair.  Please stick with it, wear a hat or wrap your hair up in a twist.  It take 2-4 weeks to get your hair into the new routine.

Ingredients:

4 oz. distilled Water

4 oz. Aloe Vera Gel I get mine here, called Earth’s Daughter from AMAZON. I like this one because it does not contain any Vitamin E, which I know a few people are allergic to.  Or, if Vitamin E is okay for you then try this one, called Fruit of the Earth also, from AMAZON, it’s a bit less expensive.

Now add and shake together to form a clump:

1 Tbsp of Virgin Olive Oil or Avocado Oil(even if  you have oily hair, oil attracts oil, it will draw the oil off) if you have dry hair 2 Tbsp is better.  Remember before each use to shake, shake, shake!

Now Add:

5 drops each of Rosemary, Lavender and Cedarwood essential oils(I get mine here)

Oily and flaky scalp, add 5 drops Tea Tree oil                                                                                            Dry hair or to add volume add 5 drops Geranium Oil                                                                              Thin, slow growing hair can get a boost by adding 5 drops Geranium and 7 drops Clary Sage  Breaking and splitting can be helped by adding 3 drops of Wintergreen

Now add:

2 oz.   Dr. Bronner’s Baby Mild Unscented Castille Soap (I get mine here)on AMAZON, but you can find it at some Wal-Marts, Target and I have heard CVS or Walgreens.

NOTE: You will experience a time of not so happy hair.  Meaning it may feel greasy, but it is clean. You may want to double the amount of Castille Soap because a lot of people don’t like that there isn’t a lot of lather.  It is just in your head, you don’t need lots of lather to get it clean.  You can also put it in a pump container and pump it all over your head and down the length if you have long hair to get more lather.  You will, however still experience this time of a greasy feeling hair period.  This will pass as soon as all the junk that was on your hair finally gets out.

By the way now, quit using gels, hairspray and other commercial junk on your hair or you will continue to get this greasy feeling hair, it it the junk in the commercial hair products.  I mean why are you wanting to used this shampoo in the first place?  To rid your self of another phase of toxicity I suppose.  So why on earth are you going to just re-apply another layer of toxins on your hair after this.

Ladies, we don’t need commercial hair spray, gels, mousse, etc.  If you do you need a new hairstyle that does not require use of these products.  Natural and healthy is the way you want to go.
